Debate Watch 2012

As co-president of MSUM Society of Professional Journalists, I have spent the last month planning Debate Watch 2012. The planning, stressing, asking for money, getting rejected, promoting, and publicizing (along with all my other responsibilities) drove me a little nuts. I’ve been having way too much caffeine, sleeping way too little and trying to do way too much. So, when I had time to relax at Babbs with Robert I was a little crazy.

But the Debate Watch is now over and aside from the near heart attacks when the video flashed black, it was a successful event. Many students, at least 170, came out to watch the debate and enjoy some food. I was extremely happy to see many students stick around for the nonpartisan discussion afterwards and see all the hands go up with questions and comments.

Although I was excited to plan and attend Debate Watch 2012, I am happy it is done and over. I can now relax a bit and blog more until the next event comes around. :)
