For day 19 of the 30-30 Style Challenge, I decided to pull out the lovely Norwegian inspired skirt again. This time I paired it with a lace tank top and cardigan. It was the perfect look for date night with Robert.
We went to Doolittles in Fargo, which is absolutely delicious.While there, Robert and I saw a group of young ladies (perhaps college students), celebrating someone’s birthday. Almost every girl at the table was wearing high heel boots like mine and a skirt or short dress. I wouldn’t have paid much attention, but most of them weren’t wearing any tights or leggings, which got me thinking…when is it OK to wear “hooker” boots?
Everyone has there own opinions, but here are my “guidelines” or “rules”:
• (Almost) always OK with jeans
• OK with short dresses or skirts, IF paired with leggings/tights
- Only exception is at the bar
• Not OK in summer or late spring
• OK with shorts, IF paired with dark/colored tights
When I asked Robert, he didn’t have too much of an opinion on the topic.
So, what are your guidelines for wearing “hooker” boots?
